The Problem
Our client faced significant challenges with its security data pipelines.
Each log source had its own custom-built pipeline, resulting in duplication, inefficiency, and a lack of standardisation.
These pipelines were poorly documented, making onboarding and troubleshooting complex and time-consuming.
Transformation logic was deeply embedded in a proprietary framework, hindering adaptability. As a result, even minor changes triggered full regression testing, causing delays and increasing the risk of error.
The business needed a more streamlined, maintainable solution that could accomodate evolving log ingestion requirements without overwhelming development teams.
The Solution
Skillfield mobilised immediately. Using AI-driven control mapping, we isolated every asset in scope and built an eight-week Gantt schedule pairing configuration hardening with policy uplift.
Security settings were benchmarked against ISO 27001 Annex A, while concise playbooks guided data owners through personally identifiable information registers and the gathering of evidence.
Weekly sprint reviews with risk stakeholders cleared blockers within 24 hours, sustaining momentum without interrupting day-to-day reporting.
The Outcome
All controls were implemented on schedule, and the internal audit reported zero non-conformities.
The external auditor awarded ISO 27001:2022 certification for the expanded data environment at the first attempt.
Beyond compliance, the client gained a complete data-asset register, clearer PII stewardship processes and standardised security baselines – turning ISO from a point-in-time hurdle into an operational discipline.
